Butterfly Valves and Actuators

The Benefits of Using
Saunders MS Butterfly Valves

Improved Design Brings
Cost and Performance Benefits

Lower Torque and Smooth Seat Break
Improved seat clearance when opening the valve eliminates any sticking or jamming of the seal ring to the seat; a problem with some designs at low and high temperatures.  Consequently, the torque values are not only linear but also substantially lower than other valves, which results in process lines which are easier to operate whether they be manual, pneumatic or electrically powered.

Increased Reliability, Decreased Downtime

Longer Service and Simplified Maintenance
With the assurance of the valve's reliability, the need for frequent maintenance is removed.  The valve is complemented by a novel single layer gasket which ensures maintenance is quick and simple with no specialized skills required - all important in an environment where time is money.  The design is such that the seal ring fits in only one configuration, therefore reducing errors and improving the entire maintenance operation.

Suitable for a Wide Spectrum of Applications

Zero Leakage
The enhanced seal ring clearance of the MS valve design combined with the smooth seat (superior machining) ensures that there are no areas of entrapment in the valve to hinder effective closure.  These features together with a wide range of special materials ensures that the MS range is suitable for many applications and industries.

Fully Fire Tested

Bi-Directional Operation
Approved to API 607 Ed 4 in both flow directions, the valve is proven to meet critical applications, where in the possibility of a fire the valve must be guaranteed to operate.

Availability

Guaranteed Supply Route
Availability is configured to meet market demands whether maintenance driven or for a special project.  Saunders works closely with a number of approved distributors to ensure that timely delivery of products will meet customers' needs.
